ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Christina

WHO I AM
I am a full-time working mother to two students in elementary school in Hamilton Township. I am a dedicated volunteer for community organizations. I lead two different Girl Scout troops as well as other Girl Scout volunteer efforts. I am a licensed attorney practicing in New Jersey’s state and federal courts. I also am a frequent legal lecturer through professional organizations, teaching subjects including technology and ethics, both of which apply to serving on this board.
WHY I AM RUNNING
I would like to serve on the school board to be a part of the policy-making body for our children’s education. Our schools are recognized throughout the country as producing well-educated and determined leaders. I want to be a part of the board in order to make decisions that continue this rich legacy.
I am also running for the school board in order to address the under-represented needs of working parents. These issues include before and after care, transportation, and preschool. I would like to work with the administration to improve existing programs. For instance, this past summer, the HTSDNJ had a successful camp program, but there was no option for before and aftercare. I would like to work to expand that program so that the camp program can meet the needs of working parents.
I hope you will support my candidacy.
Sincerely,
Christina Vassiliou Harvey
