Opportunities for Growth

“The board of education adopts policies under which the school district operates;

oversees the budget; approves the curriculum; hires and evaluates the superintendent; represents the public during contract negotiations; and serves as a communications link between the community and the school system.”

–New Jersey School Boards Association, “The Role of the School Board”

Our Mission as Candidates

As candidates for seats on the Hamilton Township Board of Education, we pledge to uphold the standards outlined by the New Jersey School Boards Association and state and federal laws.

Building on a Foundation

We note the many positive changes in the Hamilton Township School District over the last six years.

Infrastructure & Safety

The referendum that the community generously supported has led to:

As Mothers, we believe in leading by example.

As Leaders, we know our responsibility to uphold our oath of office and follow the law.

As Advocates, we will serve as that link between the district and the community.

Students Can Shine in Diverse Ways

Values 1 (2)_edited.jpg

The district supports sports teams, marching bands, choirs, jazz bands, and outstanding drama club productions.

This year, 94 HTSD students earned a Seal of Biliteracy on their diplomas through their test scores.

This fall, all three high school sports teams will play on new turf fields.

We Can Be Better

We teach our children to strive to be the best versions of themselves.

We feel the same about the school district. There are always improvements to be made.

As former public school students ourselves, and now parents of children in the school district, we want to build upon the district's existing strengths and work towards ensuring an even better educational experience for all HTSD students.

By electing us, Harvey, Stanton, and Soto, to the Board, you will elect people with first-hand knowledge as to how to continue to improve the HTSD school district that serves close to 12,000 students. Whether it’s how the PTAs can provide additional support and resources for children; or by making sure communications among administrators, teachers, students, and parents are carried out in the most effective means possible; parents like us are in the best possible position to work on these issues for the community.

We Hear You

We have heard your concerns either at board meetings or in private conversations.

Special Education: There are concerns about special education services. Meaghan will be on this issue based on her professional experience.

Test Scores: Everyone from the top down wants to see continued growth in academic performance. WE know that improving test scores is always a goal. Current board member, Christina, can tell you those scores are improving!

Diversity: Hamilton is a diverse community, and Denise has been aware of this since she was a student. She believes diversity makes our community - and our schools -  more vibrant and interesting.

We Are You

As Moms with kids attending HTSD schools, we live your realities.

We understand your frustrations. Most importantly, we listen to your concerns and try to think outside the box for creative solutions to problems.

We believe in working with the administration to implement solutions.

Trust us to mend the divides and to build stronger connections between you and the district.

THE STATEMENTS MADE BY HARVEY AND SOTO ARE MADE IN OUR CAPACITY AS PRIVATE CITIZENS, AND NOT IN OUR CAPACITY AS  BOARD MEMBERS. THESE STATEMENTS ARE ALSO NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE BOARD OR ITS INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS AND SOLELY REPRESENT OUR OWN PERSONAL OPINIONS.

TELL US

We want to hear from you.

In what ways can HTSD improve to meet your family's needs?

What would you like to see us change once on the BOE?

We would love to hear from you!
